Whether it's for practical or economic reasons, do you want to electrify your Petit Porteur yourself?
The Petit Porteur EBR (E-Bike Ready) is the version you need.
This is a complete Petit Porteur WITHOUT the motorization part (no motor, no battery, no chain). You can thus install the motor of your choice yourself without paying for the components that you would have dismantled by purchasing a complete Mechanical Petit Porteur.
For more safety and comfort, the Longtail comes equipped with:
- Schwalbe Pick Up 2.35" cargobike specific tires offering both comfort, excellent grip, and top-level puncture resistance
- Hydraulic disc brakes
- Microshift Advent Super Short 9 speeds drivetrain, specificaly designed for small wheels
- 65mm wide SKS Bluemels mudguards
- A wide mud flap to protect against splashes
- KMC e9 Turbo EPT chain, specially reinforced for pedal-assist motors
- FSA Orbit headset
- A double kickstand with a foot lever to assist in parking
Important note:
To complete the assembly of your bike, you will need to obtain:
- A Mid motor (for example, TongSheng TSDZ2B or Bafang BBS01). We recommend a 46-tooth chainring.
- A battery
- A chain
Given the geometry of the frame, not all batteries on the market are necessarily compatible. The maximum height of the battery pack should be less than approximately 115mm.
Here is an example of the maximum compatible sizes:
All bikes are assembled in our workshop after ordering. We do not have any bikes in stock, which implies an assembly time after ordering.

Safety Note:
Regardless of the model of bike and kickstand, you should NEVER TRUST YOUR KICKSTAND and leave children unsupervised on the bike.
The safety bar is intended for transporting children. It also allows you to install a box with standard dimensions 40cm x 60cm.
Note: The use of a the safety bar does not exempt you from using a seat adapted to the age of the children transported.
Important note regarding seats for children under 5 years old:
Due to the compact size of the bike, not all enveloping child seats are compatible when installed in pairs.
Therefore, if you intend to install 2 enveloping seats for children under 5 years old, we recommend using the Bubbly Maxi Plus CFS model.
Because it is not always easy to find long chains, we suggest you add a high-end KMC e9 EPT Turbo chain with a length of 150 links (quick link included and supplied).
This chain is specifically reinforced to withstand the high stresses of a mid motor.
This length is suitable for a 46 tooth chainring in combination with the Microshift Avent Super Short transmission
Schwalbe offers the best tires for cargo bikes.
The selected models offer the same heavy-load durability and exceptionally strong puncture protection.
Pick Up:
This is the benchmark tire for cargo bikes.
Ideal for urban use.
Smart Sam Cargo:
With the Smart Sam Cargo, Schwalbe introduces a cargo bike tire that performs well outside urban areas.
The ideal choice if you ride on trails and light off-road terrain in addition to the road.
It offers excellent efficiency on hard surfaces and superb off-road grip.
